COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update

As per the Alberta Lacrosse Association, the upcoming lacrosse season has been postponed.

Assessments will not take place the week of March 23 and have been postponed.

Our club will be following all the updates and communicate with our members as needed. At this time, there is no plan for reimbursement of fees, as there is not enough information regarding what will happen or when the season will commence. We appreciate your support and patience in this matter.

Alberta Lacrosse Association Update for March 14

RE: COVID-19 Coronavirius

This is the update from the March 12 Membership Information release, ALA is monitoring the COVID-19 virus status and recommendations from the Government of Canada and Government of Alberta. As such, the ALA is suspending sanctioned “in person” lacrosse events immediately until April 5. This includes but not limited to practices, camps, tryouts, coaching clinics, officials’ clinics, Alberta Summer Games, Team Alberta and any previously sanctioned events such as camps and travel permits. This does not mean we are cancelling the season. ALA will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly. All Members are encouraged to stay up to date on developments.

With the daily and sometimes hourly changes related to the virus, we recommend you check the below government links daily.
