2021 MINOR BOX LACROSSE REGISTRATION INFORMATION
LAX Families, the MHLC Executive thanks you for your patience in waiting for our registration to open this season The season will be different than past years due to the public health restrictions in place in Alberta due to COVID-19.
We are opening registration March 10 and closing it at midnight April 6. The fees are split into two phases with a non-refundable fee due on registration to cover preseason with a second fee due May 3 pending announcement of a regular season (games). If a regular season is not possible due to restrictions, the second fee will not be collected, and practices will end April 30. At that time MHLC will decide if a new registration will be opened for May / June practice sessions. When paying fees MHLC prefers the deferred payment option with credit card.
It is unlikely tournaments will be possible this year.

March 22 begin divisional practices (two per week) for 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U as per the Step 2 guidelines (9 players / 1 coach per group, two groups / floor, socially distanced). We will inform players of the practice grouping closer to the floor times.
Select teams by April 11, this year teams will be selected using a draft process based on coach evaluations during divisional practices.
6U/8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U will practice as teams twice a week from April 11 to April 30 following all required restrictions.
Remainder of Fee (May 3 Payment) Covers
Regular season games / practices May 1* – Jun 27 this includes the remainder of the ALA fees, floor time for games / practices and referee costs.
